A success story that defies all odds. Raw African began with a single product, a 500 EGP budget, and a dream shared by three sisters and their mother. Founded in 2016, the brand quickly carved out a space for itself in the Egyptian market with a passion for clean beauty and scientific formulation. Today, Raw African is one of Egypt’s leading natural cosmetics brands, boasting a portfolio of over 100 products. Their journey is not only one of perseverance and vision but also of transformation, and we at Akhtaboot are proud to be part of it. The Challenge When we first partnered with Raw African, their social media presence lacked the modern appeal and structure needed to connect with younger audiences and beauty enthusiasts. The brand needed a refreshed visual identity, content that resonated, and a comprehensive digital strategy to support their rapid growth. Our Approach Over the course of a three-year collaboration, we helped evolve Raw African’s presence into a lively, youthful, and modern brand across every touch point. Our partnership included:

 

Digital Strategy A full-scale digital revamp, including content planning, tone of voice development, and community-driven storytelling, all aimed at positioning Raw African as a go-to brand for clean, effective skincare.

 

Creative Content & Photoshoots We introduced dynamic, trend-driven photoshoots and brought in short-form video content, especially reels, to create a lifestyle-oriented feed that felt authentic, fun, and relevant to the target audience.

 

Branding & Packaging Design We conceptualized and designed the packaging for several products & lines, including the Heel Cream and Youth Booster line. We also revamped the packaging for core products like Shower Gels, Body Lotions, Scrubs, and Aloe Vera Gel, giving them a fresh and young shelf presence. Additionally, we led the rebranding of Raw African’s iconic summer range, including Tanning Oils and Shimmering Lotions, infusing them with seasonal flair and contemporary designs.

 

Media Buying Our strategic media buying efforts were a key driver of success, most notably in 2023, which saw record-breaking sales for the brand. In February 2025, the content created under our direction achieved the highest engagement rates in Raw African’s history, a milestone that reflected both creative impact and data-driven execution.
